This is going to sound awfully fangirl, but Picard is my personal idol. Transwomen generally don’t have the best home lives growing up. There are exceptions, but I wasn’t one. Picard was my father figure, my rock, the man who taught me about integrity, honesty, morality. For every ‘What Star Trek Character Are You?’ quiz I’ve ever taken, I’ve gotten the same result: Captain Jean-Luc Picard.
I know Picard’s just a character but he would have been nothing without you Patrick. Happy birthday Dad!
