Screw you trannies. Danielle Foxx has bills to pay.
I just watched Danielle Foxx’s video on YouTube about why she used the word ‘tranny’ in the URL of her new website. Personally the word doesn’t bother me nearly as much as it used to, but still I have a problem with her attitude towards her (very legitimate) critics as she takes ten minutes to essentially say, ‘I did it for the money and if you have a problem, it’s your problem.’ She further goes on to attempt to turn things back onto said critics by telling them that they should become more comfortable with the word, too. That’s REALLY not her call.

While some of us don’t really care about questionable terminology being used to describe us on an individual level, there are more of us that do and those opinions should be respected instead of rejected because the labels used for us in the porn business are only accepted insofar as they promote the niche. In fact, I’ve even noticed a recent trend to cut back on excessive uses of the words ‘tranny’ and ‘shemale’ by many producers. In Danielle’s case however, she’s post-op so her use of the terminology indicates an attitude of ‘once a tranny, always a tranny’ that would be far too easy for the majority cisgendered population to latch on to. That’s not good.
I’ve always agreed that gender is defined between the ears and not between the legs so it seems that all that surgery has not helped Danielle achieve peace or womanhood – I’d argue that she became a woman when she started LIVING HER LIFE accordingly – but since she got her SRS it seems that her attitude has actually regressed as evidenced by her insistence to use the word tranny in her website URL, her continued appearances on Maury, and her return to drag performing. Apparently she realized that it was more financially beneficial to be a pre-op than a post-op and so her gender between her ears has shifted accordingly back to something not quite male and not quite female, but something in between. There’s nothing wrong with that if that’s how she wants to live, but I also find it hysterically ironic. I am also saddened by the fact that I’ve been in the place where Danielle now is, teetering between what’s right and what’s right for me, and I’d offer to help if I didn’t know for sure my offer would be rudely rebuffed. I don’t attack Danielle because I dislike her. To the contrary, I only dislike what she does and the fact that she systematically fails to see the negative consequences of her greedy actions to the transsexual ‘community’ at large.
There are plenty of transwomen whose lives do not entirely revolve around ‘sucking dick for a living,’ as Danielle has so eloquently put it to me (even if that IS what they do for work – a job is not who you are), and they should not be forced to be belittled and marginalized because some individuals in the porn business are selfishly trying to make a buck by continuing to use derogatory terminology instead of seizing opportunities to change it.
Danielle’s not making a sacrifice to promote the niche or any other porn stars or even a company that helps promote other transsexual talent so that more of us can get our surgeries and move on with our lives. Instead, she completes the transition she thought for sure would make her happy and when it doesn’t she then goes on to blame her bills for her questionable marketing as she sells out every time she appears on Maury or otherwise allows people to treat her as less than human because, well, they’re paying for it. Danielle could care less about transsexual rights despite her convenient mention in her video about needing to get ready for a fund-raiser and so she obviously still hasn’t learned that money can’t solve all of our problems. She’s blown countless opportunities to give something big back in terms of symbolism and leadership by example over the span of her career but yet she wants to brag about her philanthropic appearances as she simultaneously tells her ‘sisters’ to ‘get over it.’
Danielle Foxx cares only for her paycheck. That’s what happens when your rent is more than many other peoples’ entire monthly budgets. It’s what happens when you believe that money (or surgery) will solve all of your problems. Just because someone has a spending problem, that doesn’t make it OK for them to frivolously waste all of their precious publicity to serve their own ends exclusively and simultaneously become a negative stereotype for all other people like her.

Bravo Bella. Tell it like it is. DF talks a good game when it benefits her, but that’s about it. Going on that circus of Maury’s. She should be ashamed of herself.

The thought had crossed my mind. On the one hand I’d be promoting a business model with which I disagree. On the flip side, I could make a few dollars watching your site fail despite ALL the promotion and star-power that went into it. Decisions, decisions.

I actually think Danielle has a point in that at one time, long ago, going on a national TV show like Maury was probably good (barely) for the cause because until then transsexuals were hidden completely. Now that we’re past all that and we as a class of people got what we wanted out of the deal I find it infuriating that the girls would continue to do these shows (and not even under their professional names) for the pittance they receive. It’s time to move out of freak show status. Porn is fine for transwomen in my estimation because it allows us to be desirable, but there’s nothing desirable about being gawked at and called a man when the shows could be done in a way that’s fun without being taunting. Shame on Maury’s producers as well. They refuse to change with the times.
When I saw Allanah Starr’s appearances on Maury I was struck by the contrast in the way she was treated versus Danielle and friends. She was treated with the utmost respect and the transsexual angle was treated with sensitivity and discretion. I was really encouraged by it. Danielle would be wise to take a page from Allanah’s playbook.

Bravo Bella! I don’t know what to think of Danielle Foxx. At one time she was probably the hottest TS out there in porndom. However since she had SRS she seems to be still desiring a career out of it and i am sure she has seen her escorting income fall off dramatically. I belong to a few TS sites that hired her many times for work(Shemale Strokers, SY) and the members all miss the old Danielle. I read the forums and everyone wishes she still were Pre-op. It is her life and she can be what she wants but it’s permanent now. Maybe there is some regret, I don’t know. I think she is a very desirable female and just as sexy as she was but she promotes herself still as a tranny and that seems to bother you and others in the TS community. She seems to be working for Sammy(aka Rodney Moore) on his Shemale Stroker site and maybe getting an income from that. I think she lives with the guy myself as she list Encino as her home. Albeit, I am just a TS admirer (who thinks you are smokin’ Hot!)and I support you and other women who want legitimacy for your community.
Followed you here after you posted on my blog about this topic. Tranny is a hate word and always will be. More power to those who can shrug it off like nothing but the word still does a lot of damage. I love Danielle but I disagreed with her on this issue. As for Maury, NO self-respecting transwoman should go anywhere near the sick misogynist hateful exploitative bastard, ever.
